The much anticipated Rodfather/Goodguys Road Tour is set to blast off to Indy from the Bonneville Salt Flats this Friday, September 14th! Led by Andy Brizio and Gary Meadors, the cross country hot rod driving tour is Andy’s “last hurrah”. He will hang up his hot rod following the 2 week trip.
The rodders heading to Bonneville from the northern California area will gather at Goodguys headquarters in Pleasanton this Wednesday, Sept 12th @ 10am to depart on their “pre-tour” legs which go from Pleasanton to Reno then Reno to Wendover on Thursday the 13th before gathering with all other Tour participants at the salt flats from Friday’s official blast off. Rodfather/Goodguys Road Tour. A special hot rod driving tour featuring 100 1949 and older roadsters, coupes, sedans and touring cars driving from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah to the Goodguys WIX Filters Speedway Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. Leading the pack will be Andy Brizio and Gary Meadors – two men at the forefront of the hot rodding scene for the last 4 decades. Brizio will be behind the wheel of his trusty 1932 Ford while Meadors will be driving his all black 1940 Ford coupe.
Friday, September 14th (blasting off from Bonneville) through Thursday, September 20th (arriving in Indianapolis. Sunday, September 23rd (Return Route from Goodguys WIX Filters Speedway Nationals) through Friday September 28th (Tour conclusion at Barstow CA)
