Stars, Stripes and Hot Rods…A Look Back at a Festive Weekend in Pleasanton

-Thousands of show cars filled the Pleasanton Fairgrounds for the Goodguys 23rd Autumn Get-Together presented by J Rockcliff Realtors

Spectacular only begins to describe the experience at last weekend’s Goodguys 23rd Autumn Get-Together presented by J. Rockcliff Realtors. Sunny fall skies and warm hot rodding fellowship filled the entire Pleasanton Fairgrounds for a star spangled Veteran’s Day weekend celebration.

-The P=Town Push Rods hosted military vehicles throughout the weekend in their club compound

The show & shine was jumpin’ and the swap meet & Auto Trader Classics Car Corral was hoppin’ all weekend as thousands of car guys & gals filled the grounds. The theme of the weekend was Veteran’s Day and paying tribute to our armed forces. Thanks to our friends at Specialty Sales Classics all active military and vetrerans got FREE admission to the show on Veteran’s Day 11/11. Throughout the weekend – members of The Pleasanton Military Families collected donations for the “Packout Program” which sends care packages to soldiers overseas. Cards were also signed for the soldiers. Then there was the really, really cool AutoCross ride-along program spearheaded by Rob McGregor to raise money for the Pleasanton Military Families. A group of 5 guys all did $5 ride alongs in the AutoCross throughout the weekend and raised over $750.00 for the soldiers!

-Big crowds kept things lively all weekend!

It was a great season-closing weekend in Pleasanton. We’ll be right back at it March 23 & 24, 2013 for the Goodguys 31st All American Get-Together. Make your plans now to attend!
