The results are in for the 2012 Speedway Motors Homebuilt Heaven competition! And without further ado…the winners are:
Traditional Homebuilt Heaven Winner:
Roger Jetter’s ’55 Cadillac from Aurora, Colorado! Jetter’s home built “Roadliner” has been heavily modified with hand formed scoops, a laser cut grille, massaged bumpers, a ’78 Trans Am front clip and 500-inch Caddy mill. If Jetter’s name sounds familiar it should! He’s been a Goodguys Gazette columnist for decades and obviously has a lot of friends who voted for him! Jetter was chosen as the Traditional Homebuilt Heaven winner at last summer’s 15th Colorado Nationals. Congratulations to Roger!
Homebuilt Heaven Winner:
Charles & Dotti Ott’s ’55 Oldsmobile from Santa Maria, CA! The Ott’s cool home built cruiser features running gear and interior goodies from a 2005 Corvette, LS-2 engine, Lincoln Mark VIII seats and a Todd Aho interior. The Ott’s were road warriors this year attending many Goodguys events this fall. They were Homebuilt Heaven award winners at the 23rd Autumn Get-Together in Pleasanton last fall. Congratulations to the Ott’s!
For their respective wins, both car owners will receive a special award for their mantle from Speedway Motors, a $500 Speedway Motors gift certificate and feature articles in the 2012 Goodguys Goodtimes Yearbook.
Thank you for taking the time to vote in this year’s contest! We’ll do it all over again this year so keep your eyes peeled for those home builders!
