The 27th annual Goodguys Friday Nite Drags at Pacific Raceways outside Kent, Washington is shaping up to be a real 70s-style barn burner! A 4-Pack of fire-breathing Nitro Funny Cars headlines the full evening of vintage drag racing. But wait! There’s more!
Joining the fantastic fuel floppers will be that crazy Canadian Kerry Watson and his amazing “Fandango” ’57 Chevy Wheelstander! You’ll want to have your cameras ready for this guy as he blasts down the quarter mile shooting sparks and doing ¼ mile wheelies!
The Funny Car lineup is as impressive as it gets with Bucky Austin’s “Northwest Hitter” Trans Am, Twig Zeigler’s Plymouth Satellite, Nathan Sitko’s Plymouth Arrow and the Tocco, Garten “War Horse” Mustang! The earth-shaking funnies will make two runs during the fun-filled evening.
Joining all the headline grabbers will be 5 sportsman classes featuring hundreds of hellacious hot rods, gear-grinding street machines and unpredictable altereds. All sportsman racing entries must be 1972 and earlier vintage.
This year’s event schedule has been pushed back an hour to insure constant action throughout the evening! Pit gates will open at 11am with time runs starting at 2pm with final eliminations at 5pm. Featured exhibition cars will run at approximately 7pm and 9pm.
