LOVES AN AWARD
At each of our events we crown several award winners in several categories such as Cool Corvette, Ford in a Ford, Hottest Hot Rod, Mighty Muscle, Trick Truck and more throughout each day of the event.
All registered participants are eligible to win an award. Different awards are chosen each day of the event. We try hard to find a diverse selection of cars at every event.
The award selection process involves a team of many people including Goodguys Staff, Rodders Reps, Professional Builders and Industry leaders.
Goodguys does not judge vehicles by a point system or grades. Instead, we pick vehicles by a thorough evaluation process including the following criteria:
- Does the vehicle fit the description of the award?
- How is the stance of the vehicle and does it sit right?
- Does the paint enhance or detract from the appearance?
- Do wheels and tires look right for the vehicle?
- Do body panels fit and are they correct, is the bodywork straight?
- Does the interior go with the theme of the vehicle?
- What are the custom improvements of the interior?
- Factory chassis or custom?
- Engine upgrades? Factory? Modified? Crate motor?

Saturday Special Parking Areas
If a person wants to compete in a Saturday Specialty Parking Area, we have the following Specialty parking areas at all National Events - 7am-12pm. We pick cars for awards in the Saturday Specialty areas from 8a-12p Saturday. All awards will be handed out on Sunday afternoon at 2:22 during our awards program.

- Trick Truck - All Trucks Welcome
- Camaro Corral - All Camaro’s welcome
- Homebuilt Heaven - Did you build it Yourself? Park here for recognition

In addition to all the great vehicles on Friday and Saturday we include All years of American made or powered cars. The awards include All American Chevy, Ford, Mopar and Truck plus 3 generic All American Sunday Awards
Goodguys Top 12 Awards
Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is proud to present the "Top 12" awards! These special awards recognize the Nation's finest cars and trucks as well as the upcoming industry Trendsetter.

Long Distance Award
Eligibility for this award will measured by the one- way mileage distance from your home starting point to the event location you are attending. A sign- up board will be at registration for the event you are attending. The winner will be notified before the awards program so they may receive their award.
Goodguys Next Generation Award
Is open to the young generation of builders between the ages of 18-30 at the time of the event. Participants must have worked on the build process and have knowledge of the parts used. The winning votes are collected from our Goodguys social media network over the time of the event and announced prior to the awards program.
Indoor Participants
All indoor participants are eligible for awards. Vehicles owners picked from the indoor shows are asked to keep their vehicles indoors for the remainder of the event so we can provide a complete show for all attendees. Award winners will receive their award at their vehicle inside prior to the awards program.
