-Saturday’s crowds were overflowing! Lots of excitement in the air
The 2014 event season got off to a brilliant start last weekend in spectacular sunny Scottsdale, Arizona with the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals at Westworld. Everything was new! New cars, a new Goodguys big rig, renewed energy, new AutoCross racers, a new look to Westworld and new vendors!
The weather was simply Chamber of Commerce-good. From Thursday through Sunday, the afternoon hi-temps hovered right around 80 degrees with nary a cloud in the sky. This helps to explain the record number of cars who registered. A total of 2,560 cars were on hand for the weekend, which was up substantially from last year’s event which had a rainy and cold Friday.
With the help of the Over the Hill Gang Phoenix Chapter, our awesome and helpful host club, the season opener simply couldn’t have gone any smoother. We thank everyone who came out and helped get the season off to a GREAT start! The hot rodding spirit is alive and well!
