Motorsports artist, publisher, public speaker and recent International Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Youngblood, will make an exclusive appearance at the Goodguys 17th PPG Nationals July 11-13 in Columbus, Ohio to illustrate and hand out FREE custom race car and hot rod drawings to event attendees. Youngblood will be on hand each of the 3 event days, splitting his time between the PPG Automotive Refinish booth and the Goodguys merchandise booth inside the Bricker Building at the Ohio Expo Center.
The man behind the famous slogan “Blood Did It” and the “Father of modern day race car designs,” Youngblood brings over 4 decades of automotive and racing artistry to the table. He’s also played an integral role in hot rodding. Kenny was the graphic designer of ZZ Top’s “Eliminator Coupe” coming up with those famous interlocking Z’s on the side of the coupe as well as on the band’s “Eliminator” album.
In Columbus, he will do personalized, hand-drawn 11×17 color posters for fans, free of charge for anyone who wants one courtesy of Goodguys and PPG. “I’ve always wanted to come do a Goodguys event,” said Youngblood, now a Las Vegas area resident. “Hot rodding and vintage drag racing are my thing. From what I hear – this is the biggest Goodguys event of the year so it will be fun to be part of the action. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing the nation’s top show cars.”
Youngblood’s exact appearance times will be published in the weekend schedules handed out at the ticket gates in Columbus. To see Kenny’s extensive online collection of available art visit www.youngbloodart.com. For a complete look at the Goodguys 17th PPG Nationals, click here.
