-Scott & Holly Roberts’ 1954 Mercury was crowned Goodguys 2016 Street Rod Headquarters Custom of the Year!

Congratulations to Moorpark, California’s Scott & Holly Roberts! Their gorgeous 1954 Mercury was named Goodguys 2016 Street Rod Headquarters Custom of the Year during the 34th All American Get-Together at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds!

Chopped 3”, nosed, decked and shaved with rounded hood and door corners, the custom Merc is painted Spies Hecker “Chile Verde” green by Brandon Penserini of Altissimo Restoration in Napa, CA. It features a color matched interior by Chris Plante/Plante Interier as well as a color matched 292 Ford Y-block V8 engine. It is simply a phenomenal custom!

We don’t want to give too much good information away on this beauty! Make sure to check out the July 2016 Goodguys Gazette for the full feature on the car the ROberts’ call “El Sueno.”
