The 31st Pacific Northwest Nationals presented by Griots Garage is in full swing today at the Washington State Fairgrounds. Yesterday we poked around Puyallup on the annual Poker Run organized and ran by the King’s Men Car Club which ended at Griots Garage retail store who also hosted the official kickoff party for this weekend’s event. It was a full day of hot roddin’ fun to kick us in high gear for when the gates opened this morning!
Those gates swung open at o’dark-30 this morning and by 8am the cruise line had already formed – they love to keep them engines revvin in the PWN, that’s for sure! Thousands of cars quickly filled the spacious grounds and just like that we were underway. Inside the Showplex building, over 100 cars are on display for the indoor car show paired with the talented artists here participating in the Brush Bash, indoor vendors, one of the largest model car shows on our schedule and a rockin’ kids area packed with fun games and crafts.
Adding to the outside acoustics was a 1pm fireoff of four Nitro Thunderfest dragsters which will also sound off two more times tomorrow. Vendor setups line the cruising route, live music is playing on-stage and let’s not forget the Friday Night Drags that are already underway over at Pacific Raceways – we’ll be bringing you more coverage from that on our social medial platforms, be sure to tune in for that. We don’t want to spill all the beans just yet, but check out some cool rides we spotted today in this Friday First Look gallery below.
