Retired drag racer Don “The Snake” Prudhomme knows what’s up. In recent years, Snake has been diligently restoring his old race cars, sometimes selling them at auction while keeping others close to the vest.
One of his best cars (in our estimation) was the legendary Ford Cammer powered “Shelby Super Snake”. Teamed with Lou Baney (team owner) and engine builder Ed Pink, the Super Snake was venomous, striking victories in Bristol and Indy during the 1967 and 1968 seasons.
Recently, our friends Steve Coonan and Geoff Miles from The Rodder’s Journal captured the restored Super Snake in all its glory. You have to read this article from our friends at Fuel Curve.
