We lost a Goodguy last week in Larry Cauble who passed away Thursday, November 2nd from Pancreatic Cancer. We will hold a celebration of his life this Saturday at the 28th Autumn Get-Together. Larry was our shop mechanic for several years, a devoted husband and father who was as crazy about cars as anyone you would ever meet. A native of Oakland, California Larry built his first hot rod – a Model A Ford – when he was just 15 years of age.
A career mechanic, he worked at Montgomery Wards for three decades. He became our Goodguys mechanic in in 2014 where he kept our fleet of cars maintained and running strong. When he wasn’t working on cars, he was showing them. Whether it was driving his 1947 Ford or his blue ’66 Chevelle he never missed a Goodguys event in Pleasanton. Larry was also a devoted member of the Danville Dukes.
The Larry Cauble Celebration of Life will take place this Saturday at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds inside the ampitheater starting at 10:45am. All are welcome and encouraged to come pay their respects to a Bay Area hot roder and Goodguy.
