March is finally here and if you’re like us, you’ve been waiting for the skies to clear up and the roads to dry out for months. Well, the wait is over. We officially kicked off the Goodguys 2017 event season today at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona — and the weather was perfect. Moderate temperatures and blue skies brought out all types of cool cars from across the country and if today’s turnout is any indication – it’s going to be a great year!

Speaking of the year, our event tour takes us from Valley of the Sun across America before landing back here in November for the “Grand Finale” – the 20th Southwest Nationals. It promises to be a huge year with the stars and cars of our American hot rod scene tagging along for the ride.

Westworld was packed with an eclectic group of cars from the pre-war era and 50’s classics to muscle cars and pickups, offering up a preview of what’s to come throughout the weekend. The vendor midway was bustling with curious participants and the there was plenty of tire smoke and unburnt carbon lingering over the Autocross course.

Friday’s are a bit more casual than Saturday at our national events, but there’s still plenty to see. Check out some of our favorite cars from today! We’ll see everyone bright and early tomorrow starting at 8am.
